EntertainmentJulie Chrisley declares her new look is here to stay after Trump pardonBy Whitney VasquezPublishedMay 29, 2025, 7:32 p.m. ET
Julie Chrisley’s feeling herself post-prison.
The reality star, 52, won’t be going back to platinum blonde anytime soon after debuting her brunette hair and gray roots following her over two-year prison stint, according to her son,
Chase Chrisley, 28.
Chase sat down with Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, hours after his parents were released from separate minimum security facilities in different states, to address their emotional reunion
— and new appearances.
Julie shocked fans on Thursday when she was spotted for the first time since January 2023, when she turned herself in at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, to serve her
seven-year prison sentence.

Exiting a butcher shop in Nashville, Tenn., the usually blonde “Chrisley Knows Best” star was rocking her natural brown locks with grown-out gray roots in photos obtained by Fox New Digital.
While many assumed she would head back to blonde in the upcoming days, Chase claimed that won’t be happening, at least not anytime soon.
When asked about his parents’ changed appearance, the 28-year-old responded, “My mother is an angel. Her hair is darker now,” before proceeding to tell ET that he’s pushed her to go back to
her lighter color.

“I’m like, ‘Mama, we gotta go back to platinum blonde,’ and she was like, ‘I’m not doing that,'” he laughed.
Chase also addressed Todd’s new appearance after his sister, Savannah Chrisley, 27, teased that their father got ripped in prison while he flexed his muscles.
“My dad is just jacked. He hit the gym hard,” Chase said, adding that Todd was working out pretty much every day while behind bars.

When asked if Todd planned to keep his new physique, his son joked, “For sure, and, unfortunately, I think he’s gonna make me do it with him.”
Savannah shared a glimpse of her mom and dad’s reunion on Thursday, marking the first time since they’ve been able to see, touch and talk to each other in over two years.
However, Chase elaborated on the “beautiful moment” in his ET interview.
“They both just burst into tears and my dad wrapped his arms around my mom. And I don’t think he’s let go. And I don’t think he’ll ever let go,” he said.

Chase got emotional when describing the moment he saw his parents together.
“I mean, my family. I don’t think it really hit me until they were both home and I got to see my mom and dad hug each other and embrace each other. We’re all hugging each other and crying,”
he stated. “I mean it was just a beautiful moment and answered prayers for sure. I can’t even describe it like the amount of joy that I felt.”
On Tuesday, President Trump informed Savannah that he planned to pardon Julie and Todd for their 2022 convictions of tax evasion and bank fraud after being accused of defrauding the
government by submitting fake documents to secure over $30 million in fraudulent loans.

“Your parents are going to be free and clean, and I hope we can do it by tomorrow,” he told her in a phone call, which was caught on video and published on social media.
“I don’t know them, but give them my regards and wish them a good life,” Trump continued.
Savannah talked to reporters outside FPC Pensacola in Florida on Wednesday while waiting for her dad to be released, while Chase retrieved their mom from the prison in Kentucky.
During her chat, Savannah revealed that Julie and Todd are gearing up for their reality TV comeback, saying her family has “a new show coming out on Lifetime, and it will document all of
these things,” including the aftermath of her parents’ pardons.
Chase also spoke out following the news of their pardons, exclusively telling The Post, “I am grateful to God and extremely grateful to President Trump and his entire administration. I’m
beyond thankful to finally have my parents back home and my family together again!”
