- I am Erica Reid from Mecklenburg County.
I serve as National Program Director for Friends of the Children.
Friends of the Children supports children as young as four years old and we provide them a professional mentor throughout high school.
Being a Rootle Ambassador is important to me.
Mecklenburg County is very densely populated so there are a lot of children who fall through the cracks.
By being a Rootle Ambassador, we can provide a lot of resources to them that they may not have been exposed to before.
My favorite show's definitely Sid the Science Kid because it promotes curiosity and just that healthy sense of learning that we really hope that young children feel supported in doing.
