Google Maps shows 12 regions in the world differently to people in the regions which are disputed. But India is not one of them.
The Economist reported that for the Spratly Islands, there are six different maps as the islands are claimed in different capacities by Brunei, China, Taiwan, Phillipines, and Malaysia.
For instance, for Crimea, a user in Ukraine sees Crimea within Ukraine’s boundaries, and accessed from Russia, a map includes Crimea as a part of Russia. From anywhere else, Crimea is
demarcated as a disputed territory.
