Like Shatrughan Sinha, another veteran BJP leader and former minister of finance and home Yashwant Sinha also held up BJP for its economic policies which according to him harmed the
country’s economics. On the allegations against Jay Shah, Yashwant Sinha said that the BJP was guilty of many lapses on the way they handled the allegations since many senior ministers came
to the defence of Jay Shah who is a non-governmental entity. Neither of the Sinhas appear to have been invited to the centenary celebrations of their alma mater Patna University where Prime
Minister Narendra Modi will be present. "I am very emotionally attached to my alma mater. I am pained over being denied invitation on such an occasion," Shatrughan Sinha said
expressing dismay He claimed BJP leader Yashwant Sinha and RJD president Lalu Prasad, former students of the university, were also not invited to the programme. University authorities,
however, said they were not yet invited because of a delay in printing invitation cards and they are in the guest list. Shatrughan Sinha, who has in the past put his party in embarrassing
situations due to his comments on various issues, said his "elder brother Yashwant Sinha and RJD president Lalu Prasad" were also not in the guest list despite being prominent
students of PU. _(With inputs from PTI)_
