THE DOWNSIDE OF AUTO POSTING A British man may be shopping for a divorce lawyer after he got so carried away by online photos of a lingerie model that he commented that he’d “leave my wife
and kids for one night with her.” The comment, in response to photos of model Kelly Brook wearing a skimpy camisole on the website _DailyMail.co.uk,_ was automatically posted to his Facebook
page, where his wife quickly saw it. “My idiot husband forgot his comments are linked to his Facebook account,” she wrote. “I hope your brother has room on his sofa, because I’m having the
locks changed.” SHEPHERD, 80 YEARS OLD, SURVIVES BEAR ATTACK SUBSCRIBE TO THE WEEK Escape your echo chamber. Get the facts behind the news, plus analysis from multiple perspectives.

headbutting and kicking the angry beast. Yusuf Alchagirov was out picking raspberries when he apparently surprised the bear. The octogenarian tried to stab the bear, but it knocked the knife
out of his hand. He then kicked and headbutted the bruin, which picked him up and threw him off a nearby cliff. Alchagirov, who didn’t fall far, was briefly hospitalized for four broken
ribs, bite marks, and bruises. “I got off easy,” he said. “It would have killed me if I’d chickened out.” POLICE IDENTIFY THIEF THROUGH SEVERED FINGER A thief was allegedly identified in
Arizona after authorities ran prints on a severed finger he left at a crime scene. Police said Joshua Goverman, 29, was trying to steal a spool of copper wire from a truck when his finger
became tangled in the cable, and was sliced off. Detectives traced the digit to Goverman, who told friends he’d lost it while trying to fix a car. “Joshua’s finger had its own version of the
story to tell, and pointed Joshua directly to jail,” said a police spokesman. A free daily email with the biggest news stories of the day – and the best features from TheWeek.com
