NEW ORLEANS Gunmen opened fire with an AK-47 assault rifle and two pistols in a high school gym class this week, killing a 15-year-old boy and wounding three teenage girls. Another girl was
hurt when she was trampled by panicked classmates. “Bam, bam, bam,” one student said. “I knew what it was and I ran.” Three gunmen slipped past metal detectors and security guards, then
entered the gym of John McDonogh High School in New Orleans. They picked Jonathan Williams, a football player nicknamed “Caveman,” out of 150 students and shot him repeatedly. Officers swept
