Johnstown. The event will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. The James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center (JEVZ VAMC) is holding an enrollment fair on Saturday, May

11th, from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at our Johnstown Outpatient Clinic. At the fair, JEVZ VAMC team members, including enrollment specialists, Veteran Service Officers, and Veteran Benefits

Administration representatives will assist Veterans in enrolling into VA healthcare and filing service-connected disability claims. The event also includes representatives from JEVZ VAMC’s

Primary Care, Women’s Health, Mental Health, and Telehealth teams, along with team members from other service areas. “Continuing to connect with Veterans at enrollment fairs across the

14-county region we serve is a vital way of ensuring all of the heroes within our community receive the healthcare they have earned,” said Executive Director, Dr. Derek Coughenour. “These

special events easily allow Veterans to connect with our team, while learning how to take full advantage of the benefits they earned.” This is the first of 3 large enrollment fairs the JEVZ

VAMC plans to hold this Summer and is the only event hosted on a Saturday for those who cannot attend during the week. The VA is also hosting smaller outreach events at local Veteran

Veterans who fall under the new Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxins (PACT) Act of 2022 expansion are encouraged to come and apply. Those veterans include, Vietnam Veterans, Gulf War

Veterans, Iraq War Veterans, Afghanistan War Veterans, Veterans who deployed in support of contingency operations for the Global War on Terror. With this expansion and other authorities,

millions of eligible Veterans can enroll directly in VA care – without any need to first apply for VA benefits. If you are a veteran who would like to enroll in VA Healthcare, bring their

DD214 and insurance information to speak with our enrollment and eligibility team and get the process started. The JEVZ VAMC, along with its five community-based outpatient clinics (CBOC’s),
