The Atlanta VA HealthCare System is turning to technology to help prevent sexual harassment. by Gregory Kendall The Atlanta VA HealthCare System is turning to technology to help prevent
sexual harassment. Atlanta VAHCS is piloting a training program which uses virtual reality to raise awareness about sexual harassment and educate employees on how to prevent it. During the
training, employees wear a virtual reality headset that transports them into a role-play sexual harassment scenario. Kathleen, O’Loughlin, Atlanta VAHCS Women Veterans Program Manager,
notes the benefits of using virtual reality for such training. “Virtual reality gives you the ability to create an immersive and uniquely engaging space, where employees may be able to
better understand what it feels like when confronted with an unpleasant experience like sexual harassment,” said O’Loughlin.
