The Veterans Health Administration is spreading awareness about its VA Community Care process. The four-step process can be confusing for Veterans. This information graphic describes the
process, which can take up to 14 days. For more questions about the process, Montana Veterans can always contact the Montana VA Community Care Department at (406) 447-7400. February 8, 2022
The Montana VA Health Care System has updated its Community Care process for self-scheduling. The Montana VA Community Care Department made the shift to better serve Montana's rural
Veterans. The process is now a Veterans Self-Scheduling process. Once the Preferred Provider has been identified and a Veteran's referral has been sent, they will have up to 14 days to
schedule their appointments after identifying their locations for care. Please keep in mind that all care must be re-tendered to an approved CCN Network provider location. Veterans are also
reminded the any care delivered prior to the referral being sent will not be approved. For questions, please, contact the Montana VA Community Care Department at 406-447-7400.
