Dr. James Croffoot graduated from Saint Louis University with a degree in biology.
He attended Georgetown University School of Medicine and stayed there for residency in internal medicine where he was recognized with the C Darcy Blair award for excellence in humanism and
the practice of medicine. He was a chief medical resident at Inova Fairfax Hospital with Georgetown University before joining the academic hospitalist division at the Washington, DC VA
medical center.
He is medicine clerkship site co-director at the VA medical center and is dedicated to medical education. He is in the process of completing the George Washington University Master Teacher
program. His academic interests include bedside ultrasound and procedures, narrative medicine and caring for elderly patients in the hospital.
