MLAs. Kushwaha has made his unhappiness evident over the seat-sharing formula in Bihar for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, which was announced by BJP president Amit Shah on November 2.

"Nitish has been trying to poach MLAs. He has come down to destroying Upendra Kushwaha and his party, but he cannot cause any damage to me. He is a part of NDA and so are we, so he

shouldn't try to do these things," he had said reporters after the meeting in New Delhi. Kushwaha had reportedly met JD(U) vice-president Prashant Kishor, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP)

leader Ram Vilas Paswan and RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav. The move was prompted by two RLSP MLAs, Sudhanshu Shekhar and Lalan Paswan, meeting JD(U) leaders, including Kishor. But while talks

emerged of Kushwaha walking out of the NDA, a senior Congress leader dismissed the meeting as "political posturing". But with the BJP looking unlikely to relent to the RLSP's

demand of four Lok Sabha seats, they could indeed walk away from the alliance. The BJP has offered the RLSP two Lok Sabha seats. In 2014, BJP and RLSP had fought the polls together after the

JD(U) walked away from the NDA. The alliance had won 31 out of the state's 40 seats, the RLSP accounting for three. SEAT-SHARING SAGA Kushwaha has made his unhappiness evident over the
