Nicholson says he’d “like to take the middle-aged actor into real steaming sensuality.” Will his steaming, middle-aged sensuality include middle-aged women? Or will it manifest itself in the
typical Hollywood fashion of older stars and much younger women? I found Nicholson quite alluring in film when he was courting Shirley MacLaine in “Terms of Endearment,” as opposed to the
frenetically forced sexuality displayed in “The Postman Always Rings Twice.” (Kindness turns me on; I’m 48.) I look forward to seeing some true middle-aged sensuality emerge on the screen.
